#FeastON at the Ontario Culinary Challenge

Huge congratulations to the winners of the Ontario Scene Culinary Challenge!

It was a great evening for Ontario food and agriculture, with representation from across the province. We are also proud to say that of the fifteen participating restaurants, ten of them were Feast ON designees.

Chef Nick Benninger’s maple candied porktails, with pickled rhubarb.

Chef Nick Benninger and his team from Nick and Nat’s Uptown 21 took home the Silver Medal, for their Maple Candied Porktails. Chef Hayden Johnston and his team from Richmond Station took the Bronze Medal for their Brazed Beef Ravioli. The Gold Medal went to local favourite Chef Louis Simard, of the Chateau Frontenac.

Cheers to our other participating Feast ON restaurants, including Viamede Resort, The Masonry, Le Chien Noir, Farmhouse Tavern, Ancaster Mill, PORT Restaurant, and Northwinds Brewhouse.

Many thanks to Ontario Scene and the National Arts Centre for putting together such a fantastic culinary event, the first of many, we’re sure.
