Springfield Farm

In January 2014, Finbarr McCarthy and Eleanor McGrath purchased Springfield Farm – an over 200-year-old farm of 118 acres in the small hamlet of Apple Hill, Ontario in South Glengarry.

From the dark starry skies, to nesting song birds, to joining in the activities of a traditional organic working farm, you will find what you are looking for at Springfield Farm. In 2020, we will open the Gunpowder Market Cafe and look forward to welcoming guests to experience traditional cooking and the produce we grow on the fields of Springfield Farm.

For the past two years our market garden has been shared via email blasts and pick-ups at the farm and in Toronto. But it’s time to grow…so now it’s time to embark on the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) method. You will still be able to visit the farm; but there will now be a designated date and pick up in our beautiful century-old Drive Shed of your box of fresh organic veggies!
