Meet the 3 newest stops on the Oxford County Cheese Trail

The Oxford County Cheese Trail is growing – and they can’t wait to welcome you when it’s safe to travel again.

In recent years, folks in Oxford County have been busy crafting unique experiences for you and your family to enjoy. Now, they’re taking the time to make them even better. The newest members of the Cheese Trail family exemplify everything that makes the region so special: hospitality, pride of place and of course, a mutual love of amazing cheese!

Thames River Melons

Innerkip, Ontario

Thames River Melons is a farm and market specializing in an extensive line of gourmet preserves, as well as pick-your-own everything. You can pick your own berries, fruit and even veggies! They’re installing a kitchen and have plans to create an immersive farm experience for visitors when it’s safe to travel again.

1909 Culinary Academy

Ayr, Ontario

1909 is a culinary academy specializing in chef training, community classes, local food pantry, CSA boxes and farm to table dining – but more importantly, it’s Chef Zehr’s dream business. They opened a mere month before the province was thrown into chaos, but have managed to pivot quickly to serve their community. Later this summer, they plan to have outdoor dining and pizza oven in full swing!

Greener Pastures Eco Farm/ Blue Cow Delivery

Woodstock, Ontario

Greener Pastures is an innovative, sustainable farming operation in Oxford County. They now offer grocery delivery service for local goods. They’re known for heritage breed animal husbandry, but have developed a vast following for their on-farm store and stand at the Woodstock Market. You’ll also be able to find them at the Sollgood Social Market in Ingersoll later this summer if it’s safe to meet again.
