Talk about a gouda time!
Hidden Goldmine Bakery

Truly a goldmine find! Hidden Goldmine bakery offers old-fashioned baking ‘made from scratch that will make you feel right at home. They specialize in butter tarts, fresh fruit pies, cookies, squares, home-style bread, buttermilk tea biscuits, cinnamon sticky knots, and their classic golden fudge nuggets. Stop by and experience Hidden Goldmine Bakery’s handmade treats, and make sure to take in the friendly hometown atmosphere! Make sure to take some sweet treats to snack on for late!

Sun Run Cafe bake and cook all items in-house with local ingredients and serve the tastiest Madawaska Coffee from just up the road. Sun Run also offers vegan and gluten-sensitive options. Keep in mind the changing menu based on the season but expect ultimate freshness with each feature menu item! We recommend trying The California Chicken club – chicken breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado aioli on 12-grain bread, alongside a daily soup special showcasing seasonal and local produce when available.

This family-run fish and chip shop will make you think of the good old days and give you the comfort food you’ve been craving. Cooked with the highest quality and freshest ingredients you’ll be over the moon when you taste their mouth-watering hand-cut Alaskan Halibut, their locally grown fresh-cut Yukon Gold Potatoes and homemade sauces and coleslaw.
We recommend their buttery fried Lobster tail or the fan-favourite Clam Chowder! No matter what you order prepare to engage in an unforgettable culinary experience at The Halibut Fish & Chips!

Our second stop is The O’Connor House English Tea Room

Seasonal Recommendation:
Take a hike across from The Halibut Fish & Chips and visit the Eagle’s Nest Lookout. The Hawkwatch, a favourite destination within the park, provides an amazing vista over the York River valley and the town of Bancroft below. It is an ever-changing landscape, but especially beautiful in the fall of the year.
