Owners Chris and Emily Campbell are new to the County’s culinary scene, having started in late 2021. This couple was excited to start their business in Perth County because they wanted to focus on delivering locals and guests with a memorable eating experience.

I knew I was in for a wonderful evening the moment I walked into the restaurant. I was greeted by Hōm’s friendly staff and escorted to a candle-lit table near the fireplace, creating a warm setting rich with character.
The night began with a signature cocktail that was almost too beautiful to drink – a theme that continued with the rest of the food presentation. Burrata was placed atop a bed of strawberries, rhubarb, baby arugula, pistachio, and sunflower granola for the first dish. Next, I was served an orange ginger glazed chicken that had that signature farm-fresh flavor that Perth County is known for. The third course was an olive oil poached salmon, that was not only delicious but a refreshing treat for the summer. Just when I was sure that I had already eaten my favorite dish, the fourth course arrived. A braised lamb ragout with beetroot gnocchi, spiced walnuts, and chevre cheese was a dinner highlight indeed!
I may have arrived hungry, but left Hōm beyond satisfied; yet, like any good foodie, I made room for dessert. Served by Chef Chris himself was the lemon poppy seed cake with honey and thyme ice-cream and pine nut brittle. Delicious! This tasting menu included something for everyone, and Chef Chris made sure everything was prepared to perfection.
As I left, full and beyond satisfied, I was already start planning my next visit! This restaurant is a fantastic choice that will make you feel as if you’ve traveled to another country, but the best part is, it’s located in rural Perth County!
