Brantford’s Patios and Public Art

The best patios to visit in Brantford, this summer!

Cheers the day at Bell City Brewing Company! This small local brewery takes its name from the City’s most famous inventor – Alexander Graham Bell. Enjoy their tap room and patio, serving delicious, seasonal dishes. If spirits is more your style, head to Mann’s Botanical Spirits, Brantford’s first craft distillery.

A short drive will bring you to a must-see public art piece, The Great One, located in front of the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. This beautiful 12 foot sculpture of Wayne Gretzky cast in bronze, hoisting the Stanley Cup over his head in victory and a life-size depiction of Wayne as a child with parents Walter and Phyllis Gretzky standing as a family and looking on.

Around the corner Sociable Kitchen & Tavern features a craft food menu and focuses on the enjoyment and experience of the meal. Their breads and buns are baked in-house daily and they feature an extensive craft beer list. Enjoy lunch or dinner on their outdoor patio with a variety of seating and a hip, rustic vibe.

Save room for dessert at Dairee Delite, a vintage, walk-up ice cream shop, an iconic Brantford landmark. Enjoy real ice cream, frozen yogurt, and vegan treats. Dairee Delite is famous for their signature “Delites” – Peanut Butter, Hot Fudge Brownie, Twist, Black Forest and Turtle, not to mention the endless combinations of sundae, milkshake and flurry flavours.

Drive past Lorne Park, Brantford’s top horticultural park on your way to Mash Paddle Brewing Company. Established in 2014, Mash Paddle is Brantford’s biggest little brewery. It features a rustic taproom, outdoor patio and an onsite retail shop making it the perfect spot to enjoy delicious craft beer in a fun, comfortable atmosphere. Mash Paddle is located in Brantford’s Cordage Village, a growing community of artisans and shops.
