It is the peak of peach season here in Ontario, which has us thinking about one thing: pie.
Though we’re fond of any dessert made with local peaches, it’s hard to beat a classic peach pie. If you love peach pie as much as we do, then this list is for you. Here is our roundup of the top 10 peach pies in the province – road trip anyone?

Blackbird Pie Company
Grey Road 13, Heathcote, OntarioBlackbird Pie Company is a real treasure hidden in the small town of Heathcote, Ontario. If you are anywhere near Collingwood we recommend you make the trip. This family owned bakery makes a mean peach pie, but they also offer handcrafted sweet and savoury pies, muffins, tarts and sandwiches. Make sure you get there early because they sell out fast.
Rosemont General Store
508563 ON-89, Mulmur, OntarioNot only was this the best peach pie we ate in 2018, it was the best pie of the whole season! We were skeptical of the lack of top crust, but it ended up being our favorite feature. The tangy, Niagara peaches held their shape while the buttery crust had a good snap to it that held up against the onslaught of fruit. 10/10 recommend this one!
Heatherlea Farm Cafe
At Heatherlea you will find a carefully curated selection of local food items from farm fresh eggs, to cheeses, to pasta sauces. And their bakery is no different, all of their pies and pastries are hand rolled and made with fresh, local, seasonal fruit. Now that it’s prime peach season, you can be sure you are going to find one of the best peach pies in Ontario at this spot. Bonus: Right above The Pie Plate there is a vacation room for rent… imagine all the pie you would be able to eat.
Superior Home Bakery
438 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, OntarioVoted the best bakery in the Sault, Superior Home Bakery means business. Though they serve up an excellent peach pie, they are also known for their donuts… donuts AND peach pie? Don’t mind if we do.
Sweet and Savoury Pie Company
373 Bridge St W, Waterloo, OntarioWith a promise to satisfy your taste buds and warm your heart with their baked goods, Sweet and Savoury Pie Company is not to be missed. They specialize in fruit, cream, and meat pies using traditional recipes with local ingredients. They also operate a café called Just Love Pie Café where you can get pie milkshakes. That’s right, you can get a peach pie milkshake.
Hidden Goldmine Bakery
59 Durham St S, Madoc, OntarioThis bakery is exactly what it sounds like, a hidden goldmine. Loved by locals for years, they recently made a move to Main Street Madoc where they can share their treasures with everyone. We highly recommend this spot for peach pie, but if you have room for more we also think you should pick-up a couple of butter tarts.
