The name ‘Ontario Craft Brewers‘ speaks to the tradition of care and craftsmanship that craft brewers apply when brewing their beer.
The members of Ontario Craft Brewers proudly brew their beers locally using fresh, all natural ingredients in communities across the province – from the Ottawa Valley to Waterloo and Niagara to Muskoka.
Since 2000, the Ontario Craft Brewers have consistently won medals in major national and international competitions including the World Beer Cup, World Beer Championships, Canadian Brewing Awards and the Great Canadian Brewing Festival.
What is Ontario Craft Beer?
The Ontario Craft Brewers is an industry association of 25 Ontario small breweries dedicated to brewing great tasting, high quality beer. The small breweries have banded together under the Ontario Craft Brewers banner to promote local product and expose Ontario’s beer drinkers to a world of premium beers.
The OCB brew masters brew their beers in all of the famous international beer styles, including pilsners, lagers, ales , stouts and porters, while adding their own individual expression and character to each of their creations. Craft breweries also take pride in producing seasonal offerings or specialized brews featuring ingredients such as harvest fruits and vegetables, cinnamon, coffee, tea, honey and chocolate.

Sour and wild fermented beers are making a come back in Ontario. There’s so many people doing them well! For sour beer lovers, we recommend Small Pony Barrel Works in Ottawa, Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto or Stone City Brewing in Kingston.
