Ontario’s Southwest Announces 2021 Tourism Award Finalists

The Southwest Ontario Tourism Corporation (SWOTC) has just announced the finalists for the 2021 Innovation Awards. The Innovation Awards recognize businesses, organizations, leaders, meaningful experiences, events, or programming within Ontario’s Southwest that are telling stories, building the tourism industry with purpose and passion, disrupting of the status quo, and moving towards sustainable tourism.

This is a brand-new award to recognize innovative strategies that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

“Operators and business owners have been faced with some of the most difficult obstacles over the past two years, but with adversity comes opportunity and the board and staff at SWOTC have the complete pleasure of showcasing what’s special about our region” said Kelleagh Alexander, SWOTC Tourism Development Manager.

These awards will be presented on day two of the Southern Ontario Tourism Conference; hosted by both SWOTC and Hamilton Halton Brant Regional Tourism Association. The conference will be held both virtually and in-person at the Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre on March 8th and 9th.
