A perfect weekend in Huron County definitely includes a stroll through Goderich. This charming lakeside town has been through a lot — but that’s part of it’s charm!
For a locally-brewed pint and some Ontario-sourced eats, we recommend Eddington’s of Exeter. The chef and owner, James, is hilarious so make sure to say hi!
The area is rich in farmland, and many farmers will just post a sign in their drive when fresh eggs, veggies and meats are available. Plan to ‘stop and shop’ along the way!
Lastly, while in the region you must stop in at Purdy’s for some fresh fish or a fish fry. They’ve been catching lakefish for generations and are a true Lake Huron tradition.
