Springfield Farm

In January 2014, Finbarr McCarthy and Eleanor McGrath purchased Springfield Farm – an over 200-year-old farm of 120 acres in the small hamlet of Apple Hill, Ontario in
South Glengarry within the traditional Mohawk Territory of Akwesasne.

From the dark starry skies, to nesting songbirds, to joining in the activities of a traditional organic working farm, you will find what you are looking for at Springfield Farm. Mark your calendars for the Annual Field &Feast Festival on the farm celebrating the harvest, local chefs and musicians bringing together the community and talents found in the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.

And try your hand at the only 18-hole Disc Golf course in the region located on Springfield Farm. The Gunpowder Golf & Country Club’s course is a forgiving learning experience for the novice and a challenge for the seasoned player.  Winding through the fields of oats, crossing into an old orchard, following cedar tree-lines into the forest and to a fairway home stretch by the Beaudette River, players will enjoy a great activity and walk through nature suited for all ages and skill levels.
