Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network launches new route just in time for Valentines Day

The Eastern Ontario Agri-Food Network (EOAN) has published a new route as part of their “Sample the East” itinerary collection. Each trip offers up unique and delicious ways to explore the rich agriculture lands found between Ottawa, Cornwall and Kingston. On the seven itineraries, you’ll find local farms and farm stands, breweries, cideries – even a winery or two – plus plenty of adventures in Eastern Ontario.

Route 7 – A Romantic Winter Getaway is now live.

Vankleek Hill Vineyards is one of many stops on the latest Sample the East itinerary by the Eastern Ontario Agrifood Network. Discover all the stops along this romantic on their website.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a romantic getaway through the snowy landscape of Eastern Ontario. From Vankleek Hill to Avonmore, Moose Creek, and Casselman, the route will have you falling under the spell of local farmers who are proud to contribute, in their own way, to the region’s offerings. It also has you skating or snowshoeing with that special someone, before tasting the local flavours and spending the night in one of the warmest places:  The Riverest in L’Orignal. With its magnificent view of the Ottawa River – and recent shout out at one of the best new restaurants in the Ottawa area, it will make for a very special Valentine’s Day.

This trip was designed for the curious, as well as for sports enthusiasts and of course, the foodies. Local shopping, outdoor activities and gastronomy lovers will be delighted by the various stops along the way, making this romantic getaway an unforgettable experience.
