Ontario’s Biggest Buttertart Festival Returns to Simcoe County

Butter tart fans take note: Ontario’s buttertart bonanza is back and better than ever this spring!

Get your hands on Ontario’s favorite treat at Ontario’s Best Butter Tart Festival in Midland on June 11th. There will be – brace yourselves – more than 200,000 tarts available for purchase.

The annual festival includes a buttertart market, as well as baker competitions in a number of seriously sweet categories. There will be both professional and amateur categories so everyone can get in on the fun. You’ll find classic flavours like plain, raisin (don’t @ us!), pecan, alongside wild varieties like bacon, coconut, chocolate covered, PB&J, cheesecake, pumpkin… and many, many more.

New this year, they’re planning a ‘Tart Trot‘. It’s exactly what it sounds like, a run with tarts along the way! It’s a good way to work up an appetite.

Along with all the delicious tarts, there’ll also be food trucks, buskers and live music – for anyone looking to get a break from all the sweets. Many of Midland’s shops and vendors will be getting in on the fun as well, offering promotions and experiences for visitors.

SEE YOU THERE!
