Bistro ’67 returns with CSA Program & curbside pick-up

Good news for all our local food-loving friends in Durham Region: the crew at Bistro ’67 is back in the kitchen!

They’ve officially opened for curbside pick-up and are trying something new with themed-CSA bags.

For of those who don’t know the term, Community-supported Agriculture (CSA) connects producers and consumers to share the bounty of local fields. At Durham College, their CSA offers the opportunity to subscribe weekly to the harvest of the W. Galen Weston Centre for Food gardens. It includes a fresh bag of produce with in-season fruits and vegetables, specialty feature products and preserves.

The DC Pantry CSA bag is built, packaged and available for scheduled curbside pick-up at a cost of $30 per week. Items will change regularly depending on produce and Pantry product availability that week. Pre-ordering is available between Monday at 09:00 a.m. to Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. while quantities last and can be picked up Thursday to Saturday between 3:00-7:30 pm.

On the curbside pick-up front, they’ve got burger kits, harvest bowls, whole roast chickens and a variety of evolving specials featuring ingredients from their gardens – like this ‘Date Night’ course you can plate yourself! It includes two 8 oz. filet mignon, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, harvest vegetables, black pepper demi, plus dark and white chocolate covered strawberries!

Yum!
