In the midst of all this mayhem, there is good news.
100KM Foods, a small locally-focused distributor focused on foodservice in the GTA, has partnered with another local distribution company called Fruit Suite. Together, they’re offering one more way to get your local food fix safely to your home.
Fruit Suite’s mission was to help offices create an environment where whole foods are chosen over processed foods. They delivered fresh fruit and vegetables to offices across the GTA but with everyone working from home, their business slowed considerably. Together, the two companies are able to reach more people and support more local producers. It’s a win-win.
So far, you can get staples like butter, cheese, milk, root vegetables and greens through the platform.

We’re excited to announce we’ve teamed up with another awesome local food business called @fruitsuite who, prior to this craziness, focused on delivering local, farm fresh products and snacks to offices in Toronto & the GTA and Kitchener-Waterloo. Since wide-spread office closures, they’ve shifted their focus to offering home delivery and added an entire catalogue of 100km Foods products to their product offerings. They’re offering next day home delivery in the GTA & Kitchener-Waterloo areas, Monday-Thursday. Orders need to be in by 12pm the day prior.
Each order supports not just us but several other local food businesses as well who could use the love right now. Not only this, but @fruitsuite is also donating 5% of all residential purchases to the Parkdale Food Bank to help feed our community during this time of need.

Additionally, 100KM Foods are offering pre-packed grocery boxes at The Market. Filled with locally sourced ingredients, you can get their breakfast box, protein box, chef’s favourites box and more – while staying safe with contactless pickup.

In response to all that’s gone on with COVID-19, we have shifted our business to include a retail market – THE MARKET at 100km Foods – in addition to our wholesale operations so we can continue to bring healthy, local food to our community during this time of need!
We’ll be starting with a series of pre-packed Market Boxes containing your favourite products from our network of farmers and producers with the option to add available add-on items. The contents of each box are subject to change based on availability and seasonality. We’ll be adding more a la carte retail items as we go along!
