Ninth annual edition of local craft brewery’s signature fundraising event to feature a 50-foot Ferris wheel, in addition to new restaurants and the popular School of Bock sessions. New topics for 2017 include How to Start a Brewery (In One Million Easy Steps), This Woman’s Work: Craft Beer Careers, and School of Hops: Understanding IPA; popular returning sessions from previous years are Pairing Beer and Cheese, and Pairing Seasonal Food and Beer. Tickets for School of Bock are $10 and can be purchased in advance on the Beau’s Oktoberfest website.

5,000 people dressed in dirndls and lederhosen attend Toronto’s largest Oktoberfest, celebrating Bavarian heritage with food, beer, music, and a fun fair modelled after the original Munich event. There’s no local craft beer options on offer.

In 1969, the founding fathers of the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest saw this Bavarian tradition celebrated at the famous Concordia Club in Kitchener as an excellent opportunity to benefit the entire community by becoming a civic festival that celebrated our local German Canadian heritage.
