Throughout this post, we’ll flag restaurants that have achieved Feast On® certification. Feast On® is North America’s largest local food certification, and it verifies that a business sources their goods and ingredients from Ontario farmers and makers that have ethical and sustainable business practices. To achieve certification, restaurants work with the Culinary Tourism Alliance team to audit their receipts every year and ensure that a minimum of 25% of their food and drink expenditure goes towards locally-sourced ingredients.
Let’s get started!
Otter Creek Kitchen
Where: 2792 Princess St, Kingston, ON K7P 1W9 (View map)
Otter Creek Kitchen serves the ultimate farm-to-table burger: each bite showcases well-marbled Wagyu Beef raised at Otter Creek Farms, just 5 kilometers from the restaurant. It doesn’t get more local than that! The $25 Kingstonlicious menu includes a 1000 Islands chicken sandwich with Wild Acres Farms fried chicken thigh and Wilton cheddar on a house-made Mac’s Bakeshop bun, a large order of golden, crispy fries, and your choice of cold drinks.
Speaking of Mac’s – their convenient location inside Otter Creek Kitchen makes it easy to grab some bean-to-bar chocolate or a few stuffed donuts for dessert. Viennoiserie fans should opt for a pain au chocolat, made in-house with Mac’s own chocolate. Otter Creek Kitchen is Feast On® certified!

CocoaBistro

A visit to CocoaBistro is a chance to discover new flavours and treat yourself to decadent and affordable luxury.
On Sundays in March, head to the Memorial Centre Farmers’ Market to try the CocoaBistro Kingstonlicious deal: a two-piece box of Audrey’s hand-crafted truffles. Choose from a variety of flavours, including Fig-Tastic, Earl Grey Martini, or the Oh My Heart!, an anatomically-correct heart filled with hibiscus tea from Cha Cha Tea and raspberry vinegar from nearby Devil’s Orchard.
