#1: Neustadt Springs Brewery

Brewing with history, Neustadt Springs Brewery prides itself on crafting beer with the highest standards of purity! Sitting on what is considered one of Canada’s best sources of pure spring water, Neustadt Springs is a family-owned operation worth the visit.
With a cozy taproom vibe on deck, the brewery invites you to soak in its historic atmosphere and enjoy some of their beer while you’re there (of course). Why not go for a walk down by the springs and then head on in for a round?
In our opinion, a flight is always the way to go when visiting a new brewery but a few stood out to us. For those looking for a stout fix on a chilly day, the Texas Tea is a smooth brew enhanced with the lovely sweetness of locally-sourced honey.
Want something a bit more hop-forward? No worries! The West Gray APA is made with 100% locally-sourced hops with a smorgasbord of fruity flavour including some very punchy citrus notes.

Tour the Caverns
On weekends, you can book a tour of Neustadt Springs Brewery (must be done in advance) and you’ll get a chance to go down to the caverns below the brewery.
These historic spaces are super unique to this brewery and used to be connected to a series of tunnels that ran throughout most of the town. The caverns right under Neustadt were directly connected to the historic brewer’s house.

Savvy Co. is a great spot to hang out with friends or even get a little bit done during the workday (we won’t tell your boss)! Savvy Co’s interior offers the coziest vibes to chill and sip on delicious locally sourced craft beverages and snacks! They also offer coffee for those looking for a non-alcoholic option.

#3: Spy Cider House and Distillery

Spy Cider House & Distillery is truly a one-of-a-kind destination. With an impressive lineup of cider and spirits, it’s their passion for organic principles with a commitment to creating delicious ciders, quality spirits, and exceptional hospitality that you’ll notice the minute you step foot on their property.
Their cider is produced on their organic farm in The Blue Mountains! They are known for their sugar-free, flavourful dry apple-forward cider.
Offering an incredible set of group tasting packages you won’t want to miss out on these experiences, especially if you are planning to go with a group of friends or family.
We love their Air Stream tasting package, which welcomes you and 6 – 12 of your coolest friends to lounge in an airstream for 3 hours while you munch on a delicious grazing board and sip on a flight of cider for each person.
They also offer a cider house upstairs lounge tasting package and a group bonfire space experience! There’s something for pretty much any cider lover.
#4: Still Fields Brewery

Located on 22 acres of beautiful farmland in Meaford, Ontario, Still Fields Brewery focuses on mixed culture fermentation, barrel aging and creating some damn good beer.
Crafting small batches of experimental goodness, the folks at Still Fields have come up with some fantastic flavour combos. You can visit the farm to enjoy a few beers on tap or grab some bottles to go. Of course, we recommend doing both. Using raw ingredients grown right in their field, they strive to offer a true taste of place with every sip!
So what should you try? Well, the general nature of a small-batch brew suggests there’s always a new reason to go back. However, there were a few true standouts for us. Their Grisette is Still Field’s answer to a Belgian farmhouse table beer. Full of floral, lemony notes, this tangy little number will have you driving back for more.
Another option? We highly recommend you try their Country Ale which is a mixed-culture sour beer. This tart sensation is brewed with a combination of malted barley and flacked wheat and hopped with Saaz offering up an electrifying note of lemon and sweet-tart.
#5: Coffin Ridge

Immaculate views await you! The tasting room at Coffin Ridge is the perfect place to daydream into Georgian Bay beyond the vineyard. Cozy up in one of their Scandinavian-style outdoor booths to take it all in.
Are you ready for a good time? With ample seating options overlooking the beautiful vineyards, we recommend coming here with your sweetheart for a romantic date or your buds for a little wine and revelry. The incredible winter varietals like their Bone Dry Riesling are a bonus.
Hot tip: Make sure to plan your trip for a Saturday to indulge in delicious wood-fired pizza!
While you’re there, we must remind you that Kilannan Brewery is also serving delicious beer at Coffin Ridge. So if there’s somebody in your group who prefers beer over wine, their palette will be well looked after as well.
#6: Thornbury Craft Cider & Beer

It’s not by luck that Thornbury Craft Co. is the coolest, and trendiest spot in the area! Crafting their ciders in small batches, from locally sourced, fresh pressed apples, they aim to please their fans with a true reflection of Canadian cider. Also offering an impressive and award-winning selection of craft beer, this destination has got it all.
We recommend you get your hands on a pint or can of the Blue Mountain Light Lager! A clean, dry and refreshing pale lager mixed with aromas of low malt and a light floral hop, it has a moderately grainy malt flavour with a well-balanced dry, crisp finish.
We also think this fall/winter season, that a can of refreshing spiced apple cider is the route to go to embrace the sweater weather season!
