Have you heard? The talented folks behind Reif Estates Winery in Niagara-On-The-Lake are released a brand new grape-based spirit into the Ontario market.
Aptly named Vinea, which is latin for vine, is based on Niagara-grown cabernet sauvignon juice which is fortified with brandy and then blended with ‘secret ingredients’ to create a one-of-a-kind ‘spirit’ of the vine.
Wondering what it tastes like? It’s being officially launched at the Terroir Symposium. Join us April 23rd at the Art Gallery of Ontario for a taste! We’ve also got three of Toronto’s top bartenders shaking and stirring Vinea into all sorts of concoctions in the ‘Spirit of Local’ Master Class.
Vinea will also be hitting shelves just in time for all your summer cocktail needs. Top with bubbles for a new riff on a classic spritz or pair it with tart cranberries for an Ontario cosmo. Check out the recipes below for inspiration.
