From The County to the Escarpment to Lake Erie and beyond, Ontario is growing some beautiful grapes and turning them into some of the best wines weave ever had! This season, OCTAas staff are pouring their 12 favourite #LCBOgolocal wines a just in time for the upcoming holiday season. Come discover whatas in our glass!
Flat Rock Cellars was founded in 1999 on the Niagara Escarpment – specifically in the Jordan Bench a and is located on a gently rolling slope. The rocks that are the geological foundation of the winery and found throughout the property, are the roots of their Flat Rock Cellars name.
Ontario wineries continue to step up their game when it comes to sparkling wine! Flat Rock has another hit on their hands with their Riddled 2009. This dry, medium-bodied Chardonnay/Pinot Noir has very present fresh green apple and grapefruit notes and – in my opinion – is a deliciously flavourful wine. This sparkler is a great excuse to toast to the holiday season with someone special.
