Last Saturday was one of those perfect spring days. We enjoyed craft brews with our feet in the grass and sunshine on our skin –only a good idea with sunscreen as it turned out!– at The Art of Craft Beer. After a successful first edition, The Art of Craft Beer returned to the city, but this time in Leslieville.
In case you missed this amazing event, well give you a little recap!
10 breweries -including: Left Field Brewery, Wellington Brewery, Camerons Brewing, Great Lakes Brewery, Henderson Brewing, Sawdust City Brewing Co., Beaus Brewery, Nickel Brook, and Collective Arts Brewing.- gathered together at the beautiful Ashbridges Estate with the artists who embellished their bottles and cans. They all had one goal, celebrating craft beer, and what a celebration it was!
To describe it in a few words, the event was a combo of craft beer, art, live music and local food. All the ingredients for a great event, right?
Not only the craft beer was worth coming for, our Feast On food vendors served the hungry crowd some delicious local food!
Hawthorne Food and Drink prepared heavenly Ontario beef & kidney pies.
Caplansky’s served up deli-cious hand carved brisket, layered on light rye bread with a huge selection of mustard!
Maple Leaf Tavern provided a perfect beer pairing with their pickled pepperoni & sweet mustard.
La Brehandaise Catering was serving all the kind of crepes you could wish for.
Localista‘s tacos fully adopted the beer spirit with the cider battered Ontario lake perch topped with asparagus, rhubarb and kale salsa!
