Who doesnt like a rich, decadently sinful butter tart?
On The Buttertart Trail — a self-guided road tour across Wellington County–there are at least a dozen varieties youll come across, plus other inventions!
Since 2006, the trails of Wellington North have lead to butter tarts with tastes for everyone! The Butter Tart Trail provides you and your family the opportunity to experience the rural countryside and enjoy sweet tastes along the way.. whether your preference be nuts, no-nuts or raisins.
The Township of Wellington North in partnership with their business community have once again come together to celebrate Ontarios quintessential dessert by showcasing a trail of 16 stops within the municipality, featuring traditional butter tarts, experimenting with new flavours and exploring other inventions like doggy butter tart treats, pottery trays and mugs in homage to the butter tart and scents inspired by them. You may even chance upon a butter tart sundae, trifle, pie and ice cream!
