Torontos Best Bars For Craft Cider, Now

Have you been to a cider house lately? It seems really delicious things are brewing at every one we visit!

Who says you need to travel far for good, locally-crafted cider? Explore the wonderful world of Ontario craft cider at one of Torontos cider bars.

Her Fathers Cider Bar + Kitchen

119 Harbord St, herfathers.ca

The first of its kind in the city, Her Fathers features the largest collection of ciders in the city. Highlights include the 9 rotating Ontario taps, which on our last visit included a Pinot Noir cider from Shiny Apple Cider in Niagara and a Lavender Perry from Spirit Tree Cider in Caledon.

Cider House

391 Roncesvalles Ave, ciderhouseroncy.com

This new cider house in Roncesvalles Village features lots of interesting ciders from around the world. Highlights include the Clafeld Rose Hip wine cider from Picton, Ontario and the surprisingly well-paired butter chicken with naan.

Tequila Bookworm

512 Queen Street West, tequilabookworm.ca

Long time supports of the craft cider movement in Ontario, Tequila Bookworm is an excellent spot to try the latest and greatest in cider, despite its name! Highlights include the hard to find Wild Fermented Cider from Hinterland Winery.

The Only CafA

972 Danforth Ave, theonlycafe.com

Craft cider is slowly taking over this once craft-beer-only bar on The Danforth. Check out their website for live updates of whats on tap which currently includes hard to find experiments like the Forbidden Black Currant from Coffin Ridge in Grey County.

Birreria Volo

612 College St, birreriavolo.com

This popular craft beer & cider bar has a rotating 26 tap line featuring loads of odd-ball sippers, including casks from West Avenue and our current summer favorite: the Revel Tepache, a Mexican inspired cider with pineapple and spices made in Hamilton.
