The announcement of The Nation’s Table has us pretty excited — but it’s not the only way to celebrate Canada’s 150 this year! The entire province is stepping and curating a slew of delicious, birthday-themed activities to help us explore our rich and diverse culture.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing our favorite food experiences from across Ontario. First up — the nation’s capital: Ottawa.

Words & Wine Tour

There’s a cool off-shoot program happening in the area in partnership with Just Food. It’s called Agri 150 and encompasses about 30 events in the rural stretches surrounding the capital. Our favorite? The Words & Wine Tours! You’ll have the chance to visit several local wineries to sample wines, localcheeses and other canapes. In partnership with the Ottawa International Writers Festival, at each stop, a local author or storyteller will entertain with passages that reflect the rural landscape and way of life.
