Tour and taste your way through Southern Wellington County and Guelph region’s finest food purveyors this Saturday, September 24th for the 10th Annual Fall Rural Romp! In this self-guided harvest tour, all are welcome to take in the countryside, visit 14 farms and marketplaces, and leave with an arm full of fresh, hyper-local foods — and a full belly, to boot! Strom‘s apple crisp, anyone?
Rural Romp and Taste Real Coordinator, Christina Mann, sees the day-long tour as a fun and active way to “meet the people behind your food, hear their stories, and see first-hand where your food comes from,”.
Tour stops include everything from freshly baked pies, to farm side BBQs of top notch rabbit, so ring in the Fall harvest with a greater knowledge and appreciation for delicious, home grown food!
Farm selfies (#Felfies) and social media sharing is strongly encouraged, with various photo challenges and other contests at each location and many prizes to be won.
