With their local artisan producers, farmers and the outstanding local chefs, the city�s culinary scene has blossomed and become an epicentre for up and coming chefs and foodies alike.

Savour Stratford Perth County Culinary Festival presented by GE CafA�A�Appliances is back for it�s 7th year,A�with the beauty of summer on its side as it moves from September to July 19th and 20th.A�This culinary festival has grown to become one of Ontario�s largest food festivals and for good reason. It�s theme, From Coast to Coast to Coast features some of the top young chefs under 40 from across Canada � all award winning and many who have trained locally in Stratford! Many of the local chefs trained at the renowned Stratford Chef School, which is celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year.

The festival not only boasts tantalizing Ontario foods, wines and craft brews but the ability to fully immerse yourself in a true culinary adventure. Throughout the weekend, you can meet talented chefs, authors and culinary experts through Cooking Classes, Chef DemonstrationsA�and Tutored Talks & Tastings, as Ontario and Canada�s best share their love of food. Be sure to check out The Toronto Star Culinary StageA�for two days of cooking demonstrations hosted by Top Chef Canada winners and distinguished chefs from across the country as they share their regional culinary character in Stratford. Each presenter brings their unique approach creating original Canadian cuisine, sourced from local Perth County farmers and producers. Chef presenters include: Carl Heinrich (of Richmond Station and Top Chef Canada winner), Dale Mackay (of Ayden Kitchen and Bar) and Rich Francis (current competitor on Top Chef Canada). Prices for each demonstration are $5 or $30 for an all-access weekend pass (plus HST).

The Tutored Talks and Tastings series is the perfect way to connect with many culinary experts, taste, learn and experience through their entertaining workshops. At Bees, Mead & Cheese, you are able to learn Rosewood Estate Winery�s equation for developing their spectacular Mead (aka Honey Wine) while pairing it with some delightful cheeses.

If you enjoy a casual, open-air gathering of taste-testing Ontario VQA wines, craft beers, ciders and Ontario artisanal cheeses than this is definitely up your alley, Artisan Alley that is! Because of its inaugural success last year, The Taste of Ontario Artisan AlleyA�is back and will take place along the York Street tents from 11am until 5pm on Saturday. The alley offers free admission and pay-as-you-go sampling ($1 per ticket) with each vendor.

Historic York Street and the Avon River set the stage for Savour Stratford�s elegant garden party The Grand Tasting on Sunday afternoon. 30 local chefs are paired with local food producers and farmers to create inspired gastronomic delights using seasonal ingredients accompanied by Ontario VQA wines and craft brews. To add to the ambiance, Juno nominee Alysha Brilla Quartet and The Riley O�Connor Trio featuring Jordana Talsky are scheduled to perform and the Tasting Awards Ceremony will take place. Tickets are $100 for VIP admission (plus HST) and $75 for General Admission.
