Savour Ottawa launches new Buy Local Food Guide

Last week, as part of our celebration of Ontario Agriculture Week, Savour Ottawa launched an updated and improved web-based version of their very popular “Ottawa Buy Local Food Guide”. map The Savour Ottawa Buy Local Guide brings the region’s local food to your fingertips. Browse through local farms, restaurants, markets, retail, breweries, wineries and microprocessors to decide where you will buy local food today. There’s also an app on the way! The Savour Ottawa Buy Local Food Guide mobile app for Android is available now and the iOS version is coming very, very soon. That means you can find local food with just a few swipes in the Ottawa region, from wherever you are. Ottawa is in a unique part of the province. It straddles two provinces and is connected to many counties. As a result, this smart and helpful guide is just not limited to Ontario – it highlights many of the Quebec farmers supplying the area. You can explore producers, microprocessors, breweries, wineries, restaurants and markets in the area with just a couple clicks. There’s also a handy feature that lets you sort by vegetable, grains, meats, organics, pick-your-own and more.
