Saturday, May 25, from 10am – 4pm marks the 3rd return of the Wellington Rural Romp–an excellent way to experience the bountiful agricultural communities and heritage of north Wellington.
A signature event of taste-real, guelph-wellington, this agri-food filled day is the perfect family-friendly way to take in the arrival of spring.
Find the story behind your food, enjoy the first tastes of Spring and get ready for growing season. A� The themes for this year’s Romp are ?Gardener’s Delight? and ?Tastes of Spring?.
Approximately fourteen farms, markets, gardens, restaurants and a B&BA�in Mapleton, Minto and Wellington North will open their doors to the public to offer self guided tours.A� This event is rain or shine, so dress appropriately.
Wellington Rural Romp Trip Tips:
- Make sure to bring a cooler to keep food you purchase along the romp fresh and safe.
- Bring cash along – many locations only accept cash.
- Leave your pets at home. Many farms do not allow pets on their property.
- There are some places where you will have the chance to get dirty so be prepared.
- Event occurs rain or shine so bring plenty of layers and a raincoat.
- Take your camera.
- Directional signage is located along the Romp to help you find your way.
