Here you can plant your bare feet on the earth. And when you dine the greens in your salad were picked this morning… the vegetables are from that farm over there… the berries in dessert grow wild along the fence lines.
The bounty of the harvest is evident everywhere in Headwaters! Visit our farm markets, our gourmet food shops and our world-class eateries and experience food as it was meant to be – fresh from the source and directly to your plate. Talk to our shop owners, chefs and your overnight hosts and you’ll soon realize that in the Hills of Headwaters ‘our living countryside’ is truly a philosophy.
Join us for a variety of culinary inspired activities where you can see, touch and taste the bounty of the land first hand — fall fairs, farm tours, culinary events and so much more – all grown in Headwaters!
Taste of Headwaters Events
Twice a year visitors and residents celebrate some of the area’s culinary delights during our two seasonally inspired culinary events: A Taste of Maple and Taste of the Harvest. These events replaced our ever-popular Winterfeast and Summerfeast in 2014, and instead of prix-fixe menus at participating restaurants, consumers were able to partake of a variety of maple or harvest “tastes” in restaurants, bakeries, confectioneries, or at a number of regional seasonally-themed events.
Spend the night at the Mill Croft Inn. Relax in their spa, sip tea on their patio or just enjoy to view!
Definitely take the time to explore the Forks Of The Credit. This network of trails weaves through cedar groves lining the majestic credit river.
Stop in for a flight of craft cider at #FeastOn Certified Spirit Tree Cidery. We love their hopped cider!
Wine lovers rejoice: Headwaters is now home to Adamo Estate Winery. Enjoy beautiful Italian food while sipping on world-class rieslings on their patio.
HERE ARE JUST SOME OF OUR FAVORITE DELICIOUS DESTINATIONS IN THE AREA.
