Stick a Fork in it This Summer in Peterborough!

From farm to fork on foot, Donald Fraser’s tasty tours of Peterborough will have you saying another F word too – fantastic! The From Farm to Table Culinary Tours are back this summer and offering up even more bites of downtown deliciousness. Starting this month and running through October, these weekly events will have you sampling artisanal edibles from independent retail stores and restaurants committed to seasonal and local sourcing.  Featured shops include Black Honey Desserts, Chasing the Cheese, Naked Chocolate and Stickling’s Bakery. There will be also be beer tastings at local breweries, VQA wine tastings at local wine bars and seasonal samples at a revolving list of restaurants, including Rare Grill House, Elements and the brand new Le Petit Bar. Organizer Donald Fraser will also act as your tour guide for the afternoon affair, offering sustainable shopping tips to help you eat this well year-round.

“I have a passion for promoting local, seasonal, and sustainable food sources,” explains Fraser. “And while some of this has to do with a love of great tasting food, it also stems from an understanding of the detrimental social, environmental, and health effects of a diet rich in imported and heavily processed foods.”

With six salivating stops on each tour and beer/wine tastings for only $25, its no surprise that these culinary crawls are quickly selling out.  Get your tickets now!
