Planting Seeds of Spring

Seeding season is upon us, and all across the province growers of every shape and size are getting excited about the spring thaw. Now is a great time to plan that small backyard, raised-bed, or container gardening project you’ve been thinking about. Not sure where to start? Get to a Seedy Saturday or Seedy Sunday event!

Held annually each spring, Seedy Saturdays and Seedy Sundays are low cost (often free!) knowledge-sharing events where you can attend workshops about seed-starting, composting, and gardening in small spaces. You’ll be able to buy or trade seeds, and get advice about starting or improving your own garden project.
