Peterborough & the Kawarthas Tourism has launched a new campaign to feature local chefs committed to serving fresh, local food, called The Chefs of Peterborough & the Kawarthas. This program will be up and running during the highly anticipated upcoming market season!
The Chefs of Peterborough & the Kawarthas showcases 10 chefs who have a passion for local fare. Visitors to visitourtable.com will learn about the food scene in Peterborough & the Kawarthas, and can view profiles on each chef which include a short biography, their food philosophy, as well as a locally-inspired recipe, with a list of local ingredients and their sources.
Peterborough & the Kawarthas Tourism will be rolling out this program over the coming weeks which will run through the fall harvest season. It offers a terrific opportunity for more readers to learn about the people and stories behind the farm-to-table movement in the area. It will also help draw attention to the local food establishments, area markets, farm gates practising the philosophy of local, seasonal food.
