With the warmer weather comes one of the most delicious sweet treats Ontario has to offer, Maple Syrup!
The Maple Syrup is flowing in Oxford County and they have an exciting lineup of great events going on over the next few weeks. If you’re in the area (or want to take a roadtrip!), you might want to pop into one these three awesome sugarbush experiences:
- Jakeman’s Maple will be serving some fluffy pancakes March 21 & 22 and March 28 & 29. Served with sweet sticky Ontario Maple Syrup harvested just the way you like it. They will also have sausage and Maple Baked Beans. Just be forewarned, you will want seconds and probably thirds if you’re like us at OCTA. For more information visit Jakeman’s Maple here.
- McCully’s Hill Farm is hosting a Maple Syrup Festival every weekend until March 29th. Take the kids on a horse drawn wagon ride through the sugar bush and learn how Maple Syrup is harvested and produced. Later meet all of the animals on the farm and get served a tasty warm pancake brunch. I mean, c’mon, who can resist those cute little baby lambs.

- Tourism Oxford has also set up a Pinterest board highlighting all of the fantastic treats, dishes and activities that are happening in the region. Find that here and plan your next family trip to Oxford County.
