Ready, set, GO… to your nearest craft cider bar, because it’s that time of year again! Beginning June 1st running through to June 8th is Ontario Craft Cider Week – and we couldn’t be more excited.
Championed by the Ontario Craft Cider Association, this week is all about celebrating Ontario craft cider and the producers behind this outstanding beverage.
So, how do you get in on the festivities? Throughout the province you will find cider tap takeovers featuring local cider (keep reading and we will tell you all the participating bars and restaurants). This is a great opportunity if you’re looking to expand on your knowledge of cider, and we think you will be pleasantly surprised.
What to Expect
Cider makers are taking new approaches to their craft and among some of the featured ciders you will find unique options such as blueberry elderflower cider, hopped cider as well as traditionally barrel-aged cider.
Some participating restaurants will also have a food pairing on offer that has been created specifically for whichever cider they are featuring on tap.
Tell Me More
If this sounds right up your alley, you’re going to want to get in on their passport program, which will give you access to free tastings as well as membership experiences during Craft Cider Week.
