TASTE MAKER: TERRI MATHEWS-CARL, RHUBARB AND BOSHKUNG BREWING CO.Terri Mathews-Carl is changing the game in Haliburton with the Feast ON certified restaurant, Rhubarb, that she runs with her husband. From the food, to the wine, and to the beer brewed at their on-site brewery Boshkung Brewing Co., Terry understands what fresh and local mean to the customer and to the community at large. As the only Feast ON certified restaurant in the county Terry has shown a deep commitment to the local movement in a community where they stand out for doing so. This is why Terry chose the taste of place that she did. While she moved out of her community to Quebec City, Terry did this because of the sheer amount of offerings and farm to table fare “there are almost too many choices”.
