What’s your favourite seasonal ingredient?
Definitely tomatoes!
What’s your drink of choice?
Red wine. Usually a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Shiraz.
Most underrated ingredient?
Onions – they are used in most sauces or soups to enhance flavour, yet a number of people will not order an entrée if onions are listed as one of the ingredients.
Favourite restaurant?
Mezes in Toronto.
With 2 young children, I try to make something hearty and healthy. Homemade chicken stew is one of our favourites.
What’s the best part of working with Ontario food and drink?
There is always an opportunity to create delicious meals with Ontario ingredients. Regardless of the season, there are options. Similarly, a craft beer compliments the summer while a glass of wine is welcomed all year.
