Growing Ideas: Agenda Released For Terroir 2014

Ah, spring. A�It’s about this time of year that food lovers really start to come out of hibernation. A�Farmers’ markets start releasing their schedules; foragers hit the dirt looking for ramps, weeds and other edibles; and the foodservice types grows abuzz with anticipation of the industry’s most celebrated event of the year: Terroir.

This year’s conference is set to be one of the most interesting yet. A�Arlene Stien–chair and creator of the famed Symposium that brought the likes of Fergus Henderson and Rene Redzepi to our fair town–is bringing in some serious talent with the help of guest curators Ivy Knight (Swallow Daily) and Alessandro Porcelli (Cook It Raw).

They’ll once again be celebrating Nordic cuisine with chef demos courtesy of Visit Sweden. A�Chefs Magnus Ek of Chef Ozxen Krog & Slip at DjurA?rden, Daniel Berlin of Restaurant Daniel Berlin, Fia Gulliksson from Food in Action, and Frida Ronge fromA�vRA� will be showing off their skills in the kitchen.

Lady chefs are also getting a little love at this year’s event with an All-Female lunch line-up from across North America. A�They’ll be serving up their favorite pot luck dishes–with a creative spin–in true Terroir style. A�Check out who’s on the menu:
