Here are some of the cool foodie things happening in Ontario over Canada Day Weekend.
One of the biggest Canada Day parties takes place in Ottawa. You will find live music, entertainment, and spectacular fireworks!
The festivities are taking place at three official sites: Parliament Hill, Major’s Hill Park and the Canadian Museum of History. At each you’ll find plenty of classic Canadian treats like poutine, buttertarts and of course, Beaver Tails!
Can you think of a better way to start your Canada Day than with pancakes? We can’t either. Bluewater Park in Wiarton, Ontario, is kicking off their celebrations with an 8:00 AM Pancake Breakfast – but the fun doesn’t stop there! You will also find a local fish-fry, lazer-tag, bouncy castles, face-painting, 3-legged races, and fireworks to finish the day.
Stars and Thunder Timmins International Fireworks Competition and Music Festival will take place over the long weekend. This 8 day music festival brings performers like Bryan Adams, The Beach Boys, Mathew Good, Sloan, Blue Rodeo and more! When the concert is over, the firework competition begins!
Join the BIA along Manitoba Street starting at 4 pm to celebrate everything that is Canadian! Enjoy the Big Backyard BBQ, Fun Inflatables & live music. Stay for the Rotary Club Fireworks Spectacular.
If you’re in the mood to celebrate Canada Day this weekend, Toronto will not disappoint. You will find celebrations at Harbourfront Square, Fort York, Queens Park, and to top it all off Toronto Ribfest is also being held over this weekend!
The Blue Mountains, Ontario
Find fun for the whole family at Blue Mountain! There will be live music, ceremonial flag cake, movies under the stars, kids activities and of course, fireworks. While you’re in the neighbourhood, make sure you check out a stop or two on the Apple Pie Trail
. What better way to celebrate the long-weekend than with pie?
London celebrates Canada Day in Harris Park, from 11 AM to 11 PM on Sunday, July 1st. There will be a Kids Zone, food and beverage vendors, Multicultural performances, a beer garden as well as fireworks once the sun goes down!
Held at the Riverside Park in Guelph, this Canada Day celebration will keep you moving and grooving all day long! With multiple musical performances throughout the day (including a barbershop choir), a Zumba class, and duck races, this will be a July 1st to remember.
There will also be food and craft vendors, and the largest firework display in Guelph!
