Get Your Motor Running for a Food Truck Workshop

As popular (and delicious!) as they are, food truck operators haven’t had an easy ride. With support for the movement growing (and our first Feast ON food truck freshly certified), bringing together municipalities, tourism organizations and food truck operators will be crucial to understanding the existing road blocks and establishing a “food truck friendly” Ontario.  Community Curb AppealTo wit, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve teamed up with the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) to host a food truck workshop on September 4th, 2014. The half day session will include a Best Practices panel, case studies and a keynote address from street food savant Suresh Doss (Food Truck Eats, Zagat Toronto). Oh and of course, some tasty treats from some of Hamilton’s favourite trucks.  The workshop will address the potential role of food trucks as an economic driver in their communities, as well as their ability to attract tourists.  This will be a great opportunity for DMOs and RTOs to learn how they can support food trucks in their regions. Space is limited for the event so put the pedal to the metal and find how to get the wheels in motion in your community by registering here**Note: OCTA and EDCO members will receive a discounted ticket rate**
