Chef Brad Watt
Publican House Brewery & Pub

Chef Brad lived in PEI for 16 years. He’s no stranger to small(ish) towns. He left a brief stint to attend Humber College and then work in Toronto, but eventually returned to the Island. Later returning to Peterborough. In partnership with the brewery, he and his wife Katie opened The Publican House five years ago and haven't looked back
Chef Tyler Scott
Rare Escape

Tyler Scott was born and raised in Peterborough, ON. From a very young age he always knew that he wanted to be a chef. His parents recall him watching the food network as a child, always excited by food. Throughout high school and college he was determined to make his small town dreams a reality.
Chef Lisa Dixon
Blackhoney Café

As the owner of Blackhoney Café for over 17 years, Chef Lisa has studied at the University of Ottawa, Algonquin College, and Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa Culinary Arts Institute. "The main reason for coming to the Kawarthas," she says, "is because per capita, this place has better food than anywhere else!"

Vegetarian Option: Roasted oyster mushrooms instead of confit duck


Kawartha Pork and Wild Leek Sausage
with wild rice and cheddar porridge, finished with maple and pollen


Fried Zucchini Nest with Soft Egg Sous Vide
beet “down” & finished with sumac-spiced hollandaise.
Vegan Option: Sous vide tofu and miso “hollandaise”


Desbarres saffron chocolate pot de crème
