We’ve been busy as bees in the OCTA office and time has flown by just as fast.
First, we hired a new teammate — Trevor Benson — as the Program Coordinator for our new Ontario Foodservice Designation. ARound of applause for Trevor please.
Then we officially launched Feast ON–and renamed Trevor the Feast ON Program Coordinator. AThis exciting new program celebrates champions on Ontario food & drink in the foodservice industry. AWe’re talking food trucks, bistros, cafes, pubs, fine dining, BBQ joints, watering holes… you name it! AChefs and restaurateurs committed to serving and celebrating Ontario grown and crafted edibles (and drinkables!) are becoming ‘Certified Tastes of Ontario’.
But Ontario is such a big, BIG place you say? AWell, that’s where our new fleet of community connectors comes in! AWe’ve hired 20 of the province’s most passionate local food fanatics to help execute the program at a grassroots level.
So, without further ado, let me introduce you to some of our Feast ON Community Connectors:
Keep a look out for these intrepid (and industrious!) food lovers in your region. AYou can find their full bios here. AWe can’t wait to see what they bring to Ontario’s table!
In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing the province’s first Feast ON restaurants, there’s been many applications in to date, from all across the province and from all different types of feasts. AKeep on eye on the site or sign up for our newsletter to get the latest Feast ON news as the program rolls out!
