Feast ON chefs, alongside friends of the program have raised over $2500 in support of FoodShare Toronto.
FoodShare Toronto is Canada�s original direct field to table Community Food Hub. Since 1985,A�FoodShare has modeled a food system that is sustainable and accessible to everyone, delivering goodA�healthy food, and food education to schools and communities through programs focused in freshA�produce distribution, food literacy education and nutrition, urban agriculture, and community cooking.
Through unique promotional events, including outdoor barbeques, cooking demos and beer tastings, everyone involved has helped to spread the word about the importance of local food and food literacy.
On June 6th, Feast ON restaurant Harper�s Burger Bar from Kingston, Ontario joined members of theOntario Craft Brewers at Tourism Day in Yonge & Dundas Square grilling up their signature burgers on a Big Green Egg. On June 28th Feast ON restaurant Sanagan�s Meat Locker from Toronto, Ontario joined by Mill Street Brewery, Beau�s All Natural Brewing Co. and Rosehall Run Winery, served up delicious duck hoisin sausages � banh mi style � as part of World Pride 2014. Proceeds from both events made up the donation to FoodShare Toronto.
