There’s so much delicious stuff happening in Toronto this summer — from Pan Am programming to food festivals to ramped up farmers’ markets, how does one even choose?
There are only twelve weekends in Ontario short, but oh-so-amazing, summer. Make the most of the August 8th weekend by adding the Lovin’ Local Food Fest in downtown Toronto to your calendar.
Lovin’ Local is Ontario’s first ever Feast ON Certified event. What does that mean? Well, for one — you can be assured that the food and drink being sourced, served and celebrated is from Ontario; and for two, that it’s going to be delicious!
There’ll be usual meet and greet with animal friends (baby goats!), seed planting, face-painting, hula hooping (!) — but there’ll also be a ton of delicious local eats and drinks for food lovers of all ages.
The line-up includes some Feast ON all-stars including CafA Belong, Bindia Indian Bistro, Cheesewerks, and Vertical Restaurant. Pair that with libations from Steam Whistle Brewery, Muskoka Brewery, Brick Works Cider and Rosehall Run Vineyards, and you’ve got yourself a party!
On top of that, Lynn Crawford will be hitting the stage between performances by Jully Black, the Spoons, Delhi to Dublin and more, to cook up a storm.
Lovin’ Local Food Fest happens August 8th from 11am to 10pm at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto.
