Shhhhh! Keep this on the down low. You don’t want to attract the attention of “the law.”
Alright. We know it’s 2019 – and beer is honestly legal and refreshingly delicious. But at Cowbell, we are having some fun and throwing it back to the Speakeasy days of Prohibition. And for Huron County, there is lots to celebrate, because we were “dry” for a long time: 46 years to be exact!
Costumes are not mandatory, but they are recommended. Gents, dust off your sharp suits, waistcoats, fine ties, suspenders, hats, pocket watches and everything with pinstripes. If you’re feeling bold, complete the outfit with a decorative cane. Ladies, it’s all about the flapper dresses and feathered headpieces. Whether you go bright and vibrant or black and dangerous, the flapper dress is a prohibition staple – light, free-flowing, and above all else, it’s danceable.
The Roaring Twenties were known as the Jazz Age, and at the Speakeasy, you are sure to be entertained. Beverages, light fare and complimentary swing dance lessons from 9pm-11pm.
So, old sport, get ready to party like it’s the 1920s!
