The team at the Culinary Adventure Company wants to take you to one of Ontario’s coolest maple festivals: Maple In The County. Maple In The County — a “Top 100 Ontario Festival” — is Prince Edward County’s signature maple experience. 10 sugar bushes featuring maple syrup demonstrations, pancakes, lumberjack shows & even petting zoos, gather together with local wineries, artisans and restaurants to celebrate all things maple. The Culinary Adventure Co.’s fun filled day starts with Maple Bacon Grilled Cheese from their friends at Cheesewerks before heading out to County sugar bushes for sugar shack demonstrations, tours, maple corn, maple taffy and a hearty county lunch at The Hubb. In true Culinary Adventure style, no trip to the county would be complete without a visit to a couple of their favourite wineries and some music to livin’ up the party.
“Our love affair with Prince Edward County continues as we kick off the 2014 season with ‘Maple in the County’ festival. Ontario is Canada’s second largest producer of maple syrup and there is no better place to sample this luscious liquid gold than Prince Edward County!” said Tania of the Culinary Adventure Company. “We love The County for it’s simplicity, beauty, friendly locals, and fabulous local food and wine. It’s an area that we delight in introducing to Torontonians and it often happens that our guests become as passionate about PEC as we are. It’s the perfect place to take a break.” So dig out your long johns and farm boots (and your best plaid jacket!) to join them in all the fun at this year’s Sugar Shack Shindig!
