Cheese festival returns to Oxford County and it’s feta than ever

The legendairy Dairy Capital Cheese Fest is back on April 28th.  This is your chance to enjoy a full day of local cheese, drinks, activities and more. Live entertainment will keep the day going while you sample, savour and treat yourself to loads of cheese.

Oxford County is home some seriously talented cheesemakers, many of which will be showcasing their creations at the festival. Look for curds and more from Gunn’s Hill Artisan Cheese in Woodstock, Mountainoak Cheese in New Hamburg, Local Dairy Products in Ingersoll, Quality Sheep Milk in Salford, Bright Cheese & Butter, in Bright and Stonetown Cheese in St. Mary’s.

All that cheese is bound to make you thirsty! Good things the folks at festival have curated a stellar line-up of beer and wine for you to sample. Look for libations being poured by:

  • Upper Thames Brewing Company, Woodstock
  • Blueberry Hill Estates, St. Williams
  • Shakespeare Brewing Co., Shakespeare
  • Bonnieheath Estate Lavendar & Winery, Waterford
  • Villa Nova Estate Winery, Simcoe
  • The Peachy Rooster, Woodstock
  • Black Swan Brewing Co., Stratford

unnamed (2)Think a full day of cheesey activities isn’t enough? Many local restaurants will be serving up some delightfully cheesy dishes in the evening to keep the havarti party going. We suggest visiting our friend Eric Boyar of SixThirtyNine in Woodstock. He will be serving up all sorts of gouda-ness!

Tickets are still available online for a discount in advance, or you can pay $10 at the door. Don’t miss out on this un-brie-livable event!
