This annual event is one of the best ways to reconnect with your farmer in Ontario.A Music, food and a plethora of festivities are worth the drive to Simcoe County!

Hosted by the Simcoe County Farm Fresh Marketing Assoc. Non-Profit Inc, this years’ Savour Simcoe event is the sixth of it’s kind.

“Simcoe County’s agricultural prowess covers a broad spectrum of commodities, and Savour Simcoe is the perfect opportunity to taste the best our region has to offer. From fine food to wine or beer, Savour Simcoe proves Simcoe County has something for every foodie” said Warden Cal Patterson.

The event is held at the Simcoe County Museum, outside, on the beautiful grounds among the trees and historical buildings of the museum. This years theme is ?Celebrating our Heritage?, which fits into the Countys rich agricultural history and the Museums extensive collections and artifacts.

The theme is also fitting as this is the first year Simcoe County launched the Huronia Food Trail–in partnership with Lafontaine-based Aco-Huronie. The Agri-Culinary Trail allows visitors to taste the many local flavours of North Simcoe while experiencing the culinary culture and heritage that Huronia has to offer.

Need another reason to taste your way through Simcoe County?A Music at the festival will be provided by none other than the “Fig Leaf Jazz Trio”!
