Celebrate 150 Years of Canadian Wine in Windsor-Essex

150 years of history, 17 wineries, 10 collectible bottles, and 1 EPIC passport is what you will find if you join Windsor Essex in celebrating 150 years of winemaking with the release of their 1867 EPIC Wine Series!

During this celebration is the perfect time to explore Windsor Essex, as the region has set up a contest designed to guide visitors through their wine country and surrounding area. Participants purchase an EPIC passport and are encouraged to visit all wineries in the region – 10 of the wineries carry the EPIC 1867 limited release wine collection, each having produced a bottle of wine with a unique, custom-designed label.

For each participating winery you visit you will receive a stamp on you EPIC passport, earn all 10 stamps and you will be eligible to win a limited edition poster showcasing the 1867 wine collection. Also included in the passport is $100 of savings!

After you have spent an afternoon (or two) touring the wineries and getting to know the vintners, make your way to Windsor’s Chimczuk Museum for a special exhibit, titled “Toast to the Coast – An EPIC 150 Years.” The exposition has been designed to showcase the captivating history of Windsor Essex’s wine industry and will be open from August 4th, 2017 to December 31st, 2017. 
An exclusive Speakers Series is also being offered alongside Toast to the Coast and will feature segments at the Art Gallery of Windsor, Mackenzie Hall, Pelee Island Winery, and Chimczuk Museum.
