Big Brews Return To Windsor-Essex

The Windsor Craft Beer Festival is back October 17th and 18th! Craft brewers from across the province, including some heavy hitters from Windsor-Essex, will be participating once again.

The much anticipated Detroit Party Marching Band will also be making their second ever appearance in Canada at the Windsor Craft Beer Festival. A guerrilla band based in Detroit, Michigan, the band has been known to appear at events unexpectedly and have played at events such as Mardi Gras, Theater Bizarre, and the Nain Rouge parade. Its repertoire is a mix of Balkan and Balkan-inspired songs, and modern pop and R&B rearranged for brass, usually by the members themselves.

North Americas first female -and Canadas only- Master Cicerone, Mirella Amato, will be on site the Saturday of the festival providing a tasting tour to festival booths.  Mirella is a driving force within the Ontario beer industry, having carved out her place as an educator and entertainer in the world of beer.

The Windsor Craft Beer Festival is about local culture and the exciting (and quickly growing!) craft beer movement happening across the province. There will be local entertainment, craft beers, local eats and even an ode to the brew where each hour local community leaders will take the stage, raise a glass and recite our Ode to Beer!

A Tapping of the Keg and official Opening Ceremony of the Windsor Craft Beer Festival will take place on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 6:30 p.m.

?Since the festival takes place in a neighbourhood setting, ticket sales are limited,? says organizer Adriano Ciotoli of WindsorEats.  ?We have had an amazing response. VIP tickets for Saturday have sold out. There are visitors coming from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and as far up as Ottawa. This is a great boost for culinary tourism in our region and our growing craft beer industry.?

While VIP tickets for the Saturday evening have sold out, there are still VIP available for Friday as well as General Admission for both Friday and Saturday.

Join us October 17-18 and raise a glass in celebration of Windsor and Essex Countys original festival dedicated to beer! Tickets can be purcahsed at
