Our Internships

  Want to learn more about culinary tourism development, the process and best practices? Need an in with industry and taste-makers in Ontario? Looking to hone your writing, communication, photography or web design skills? OCTA offers two immersive, educational, hands-on internships to students and new grads from partner schools. Communications Internship

Duration: 3 months (12 weeks)                     Part Time, Possibility for Extension OCTA is seeking a dynamic, enterprising and committed individual to join our team. You’ll get the chance to help plan and execute culinary events across the province, build our media relations and support OCTA communications in the Toronto office. We’re looking for someone who:
  • with creative and technical writing skills
  • is able to produce dynamic content and take photos
  • comfortable with WordPress or willing to learn!
  • is savvy in social media skills (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr)
  • interpersonal and comfortable liaising with individuals and groups in a professional manner
  • committed to learning and loving Ontario’s terroir
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License is strongly favourable
This internship position is unpaid.  
 

Research & Development Internship

Duration: 3 months (12 weeks)                    Part Time, Possibility for Extension OCTA is seeking a dynamic, enterprising and committed individual to join our team. You’ll get the chance to help develop culinary products across the province and support research projects out of the Toronto office. The position includes some travel to execute in market research.  All travel expenses are reimbursed. We’re looking for someone who:
  • has proven creative and technical writing skills
  • has proven communication and organizational skills
  • has the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • is able to multitask and juggle multiple projects
  • data entry and research skills are a must
  • has strong computer skills
  • is savvy in social media skills (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr)
  • comfortable liaising with individuals and groups in a professional manner
  • committed to learning and loving Ontario’s terroir
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License is strongly favourable
